About air into ur head

Meemee went to the hospital today for check up and couldn't help seeing SOOOOOO many newborn babies coming in for their 1week check. Besides looking at the babies, the really interesting thing is to look at the new mummies!!!

Why?

1) the accessories that the baby is using; the brand new stroller & the brand, the new baby bag & the brand.. the fancy toys!!! and the big luggage the parents bring for their exciting first-time out with the baby :)

2) the baby bottle; Avent bottle is the generally accepted type. Any other high class bottle range will help u judge the parents' $-earning capability :P such as glass bottles? MAM is also acceptable.. anything less than that means the baby is being ill-treated :P (yes of course I am just joking)..

3) then u see if they are feeding milk in the bottle. If yes.. ah.. poor mother, not successful at breastfeeding, don't u know that it is trend to feed ur baby with BM.. no wonder u are still fat... oh boy u will take a long time loosing that extra kilos!

4) the tired mummy face...poor woman... I am sure u looked better before childbirth

5) then u look at the father... terrible guy.. u should help out more..

6) the accompanying Aunty - if the father is not there.. u look at the other ppl around her; the aunty who could be the grandma or the confinement lady... if the aunty looks grumpy, it would be the confinement lady. If she is happy, u look for resemblance with either parents if they are related & to verify they are related, you look at the grandma if she has the lovey look for the baby.

and the most interesting thing to look at!!!! *drumroll* is the first-time mummy dressing sense!!! as we (asians/chinese etc) confinement rules kicks in after u give birth!!!

7) the first-time mummy dressing -

a) the typical confinement follower!!! - the mummy wore a batik sarong, with socks & slippers to cover her lower body.. then wore long sweeter over her whatever shirt, fully zipped & her hair was oily & all tied up because she hasn't wash it in a weak.. and u dont wan to go near her because she must be sweating like mad with the confinement food she took! --- thank god.. u see less & less of these nowadays, but sometimes they still appear.. then u see then walking really slow (of coz with the amount of clothing they have & oil on the hair)

b) the smarter confinement follower - the mummy is hot enuff with the food she is taking, so she wore her MATERNITY Dress coz it is the only thing she can fit in! with socks & shoes with hair will tied up

having said that, i have seen mummies in tight leggings & shoes (wow the flabs seen to have gone away)-- lucky genes.

But today I saw someone wearing the shirt, short, covered shoe but with the flowery sun hat! Which really makes her look japanese.. but I cant help thinking how silly it is the wear a HAT in the hospital LOL though it is a pretty nice hat. I have never seen anyone wearing a hat during confinement day out & rather amused with it

So this is how mummies entertain themselves while waiting for to see their O&G & I wonder what I will wear during my first week check up after delivery... :P
